A huge enourmous great
May 4th, 2009
…thank you to Z&A and all their friends who have made me so welcome and who have made Poland a real rich experience that took nearly no effort on my behalf, the most I did was try to keep my balance!
Great folk that have given me time to relax and gather my thoughts, go onto the next stage with less trepidation and above all, have given me FAITH, (a long time since this was mentioned!) that people exist all around us who take a few minutes to find out who you are and send you on your way with good wishes and smiles.
(That’s not just because I’m leaving though is it?)
cheers Jo, and once again, szerokiej drogi.
For all you following Jo’s oddyssey, he seems entirely well in wind and limb, if not psyche.(just a bit nuts…)
He was here over Mayday weekend when the whole population of Poland stands around in fields or gardens pouring beer, then vodka, then more beer down their throats, pausing only to set fire to and devour animal body parts, stopping only when the ground rises up and smacks them in the face. Jo adapted to this local culture very well, distinguishing himself by managing to chat up anything female (including our cat) between beer pourings. We would genuinly like to see him back (as would many married ladies of a certain age, tsk, tsk….)
cheers,
Zed & Anne
