Received by text from Jo this morning:
“Spent last night at 50444401 01355380 by the GPS on phone altitude 91m that should be northern edge of Bologne by the sea?”
I’ve put a mark on the Google map… slight deviation from his route??!
Jo Pond adds:
“Jo had a nice eve with some Italians in a bar who thought he was mad! He’s off to BMW today for repairs”
EDIT: OK, I think I’ve (Nigel) made a mistake here. It must be Boulogne-sur-Mer in Northern France right? …I think I jumped to conclusions when female-Jo said he’d met up with Italians! D’oh! …Couldn’t get the GPS co-ordinates to come up so they can’t be blamed

I think we’re all a little confused! It’s possibly a typo on Jo’s part. A simple mis-spelling moves him from Boulogne France, to Bologne, Italy! I think the typo is more likely than the poorly Shirly making it that far in a day! I’m not sure why the GPS co-ordinates suggest he’s made it to northern Italy though….Looking forward to the next installment Jo. Your leaving has bought all on us here together…

Well when we were sorting the garages out it was a Calais garage or a Boulogne garage in france….or maybe he meant a boulangerie and just wanted some bread and not motor parts ;o)
I hope he’s okay - how many times will he break down before the end of his epic trip?? I’m guessing over 100 times!! Take care Jo and keep smiling - you’re not alone in this world…..we’re with you all the way!!

He’s had a good day but BMW couldn’t find the electrical fault apparently. He said; “three lovely chateaus but all campsites shut until after Easter argggh. Luxumburg tomorrow heading more direct to Germany to find BMW dealer there. Need new fuel filter anyway. Good digs but may have misheard how much..”

Glad to here Jo is OK. It will be so strange at Salsa without him there but I do envy him. What a life experience.
